Bell Works Hosts Gold Medal Starnet Design Award Celebration

(Holmdel, NJ – July 16, 2018) New York City-based Consolidated Carpet, a commercial flooring contracting firm, won first place in the Corporate category in the 2018 Starnet Commercial Flooring Design Award competition. The award was given for work completed on Bell Works, a 2 million square foot renovation of Eero Saarinen's iconic glass-encased Bell Labs complex in Holmdel, NJ.

"With 31 entries submitted in the corporate category, the competition was stiff, with one entry standing out from the crowd", commented Design Awards Judge Paul Lewandowski, Principal at Scott Simons Architects. Paul added, "Minimalism and scale were masterful executed, highlighting the integral part flooring can play in the overall aesthetic of the space."

An award celebration was held at Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ on July 11, 2018, acknowledging all the partners in the project and their accomplishment. Representatives from Consolidated
Carpet and Starnet Worldwide Commercial Flooring Partnership presented the prestigious award to Bell Works Designer Paola Zamudio of NPZ Style and Décor and Ralph Zucker President of Somerset Development.

Consolidated will perform 75 good deeds throughout 2018 to highlight the success that their community and industry helped them achieve. All of Consolidated's initiatives will be shared on social media.

A few of the deeds that are occurring this month are: the donation of the "Green Carpet" for this month's Muscular Dystrophy Association Muscle Team Fundraiser at Chelsea Piers on January 9th, a contribution to the Carlstadt, N.J. Volunteer Ambulance Corps, a Silver Sponsorship of the New York City Chapter of Corenet, and participation in the 37th Annual Friends of St. Dominic's Benefit Dinner as a Benefactor Sponsor.
