CONSOLIDATED CARPET HONORED AT CRAIN'S NEW YORK FAMILY BUSINESS AWARDS
(NEW YORK, N.Y. – June 28, 2018) – Working together to overcome challenges, adapting to changing business markets and developing a tradition of giving back to the community, Consolidated Carpet was honored at Crain's New York Family Business Awards at their New York City headquarters. Crain's held the exclusive event for 15 select family owned businesses in New York City that have paved the way for success in their industries and for their families.
"We are humbled being honored by Crain's as an innovative and successful NYC family business. Consolidated's journey over the past 75 years has been one filled with much hard work, luck and dedication; not just by the owners and their families, but by our devoted associates. We will continue to grow as a company, serving as a role model family business. " said David Meberg, President and CEO of Consolidated Carpet.
Under the leadership of David Meberg, Consolidated's President and CEO, along with his cousins, Paul and Chris Meberg, the firm expanded into commercial sales in the 1990's and grew to a company that brings in about $100 million in revenue annually.
This year celebrates Consolidated Carpet's 75th year as a family business. Owing much of its success to the community it serves, and the industry in which it operates, the company is celebrating this occasion by giving back. The initiative Strive for 75, is a program adopted by the company and its associates that is highlighting the dedication to service the company has long held. All of Consolidated's charitable contributions are being shared on social media.
