David T. Meberg is President and Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Carpet, a third generation family business established in 1943. Consolidated Carpet was founded as a floor covering workroom, and has expanded to become one of the largest full-service floor covering contractors in the industry, serving the New York City metropolitan area and also clients with offices worldwide.
David is President of the Greater New York Floor Coverers Association, Co-Chairman of INSTALL (International Standards and Training Alliance) and a past Chairman of the Floor Covering Installation Contractors Association (FCICA), the national trade association serving and promoting the best interests of floor covering contractors. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Building Trades Employers' Association (BTEA).
David serves as Co-Chair to the New York District Council of Carpenters Benefit Funds. These funds have a combined value of over $4 billion and service over 25,000 unionized carpenters. He is also a Director of the New York City Carpenters Labor Management Corporation and a Trustee of the International Labor Management Committee for the Floor Covering Industry.
From April 2012 to April 2015, David served on the Board of Directors of Starnet Worldwide Commercial Flooring Partnership, the largest commercial flooring cooperative in the industry. Previously, he had served as a Chair of the Vendor Partnership Committee of Starnet and as a member of the co-op's Best Practices committee in the past.
He is recognized throughout the floor covering industry as an expert on the issues of floor covering installation, has authored several articles on the benefits of employing and training installers, and has been interviewed on numerous occasions by trade media on issues affecting that sector of the industry. He has been awarded the Francis JP McHale Award by the Greater New York Floor Coverers Association for his ongoing service and dedication to the floor covering industry.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, David Meberg received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Friends of St. Dominic's, in Blauvelt, N.Y. As a Director, his assignments include serving as Chair of the Finance Committee, Vice Chair of the Golf Outing Committee and member of the Annual Dinner Committee. He is also an active fundraiser and contributes to numerous other local charities and nonprofit organizations.
Paul J. Meberg serves as Principal and Executive Vice President of Consolidated Carpet. His expertise is based on over 30 years of experience in the flooring industry. Early in his career, Paul worked as a carpet mechanic and labor dispatcher where he learned to install carpet and oversee manpower operations.
As a Project Manager, Paul managed installation crews and evaluated jobsite technical issues. He also managed job kick-offs, performed walk-throughs, and evaluated jobsites for preparedness and project completion. Paul was responsible for coordinating with superintendents and other contacts on jobsites.
Paul is currently responsible for maintaining exclusive contract work with prestigious clients including Pfizer, Inc., Pepsico and HarperCollins. Paul generates new account business, prices projects, negotiates contracts, and meets with prospective clients.
Paul received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Religion from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He has certification in the Advanced Managers Course at the American Management Association. He is also OSHA Certified and Dupont Enhancer Carpet Certified.Â Paul is a member of Starnet and the Floor Covering Installation Contractors Association. Paul currently serves on the Board of Directors of Koinonia—a retreat and camping ministry of Lutheran churches in the New York Metropolitan area.
Christopher Meberg serves as an Account Manager and Director of Estimating at Consolidated Carpet. He has 10 years of experience in the flooring industry. As a Project Manager, he compiled project take-offs based on architectural plans and conducted project estimates and bids. He also scheduled installation crews and interfaced with Project Superintendents.
In his current role as Account Manager, Christopher is responsible for generating new accounts, pricing projects, negotiating contracts, ordering materials and meeting with prospective clients.
Christopher received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Syracuse University. He is OSHA certified and has received advanced Sales Executive training from Starnet Flooring.
Raymond Kappel serves as Director of Operations at Consolidated Carpet. He has over 25 years of experience in business management and application development from specification and design to installation, maintenance, and support in the carpet industry. In his current role, Ray is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the organization, particularly the systems and procedures required to accomplish the company's mission in the marketplace.
Ray is a returning member of the Consolidated Carpet team, having served first as a project manager and then operations manager from 1990 to 1997. In the meantime, Ray served as the Director of IT for Stark Carpet Corporation where he was responsible for the company's IT staff and infrastructure which supported 450 users.
Ray earned a Masters of Business Administration in Management from Long Island University, graduating first in his class. Ray also received a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology from the New York Institute of Technology.
Donna E. Inocco serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Consolidated Carpet. Her expertise is based on over 30 years of business experience that span the education, energy, retail food, manufacturing, distribution, service, construction, and transportation industries. In her current role, Donna is responsible for developing policies and managing the company finances, including treasury, accounting, budget, tax and audit activities.
Prior to joining Consolidated Carpet in 2016, Donna served as the Chief Financial Officer for Ferrara Bros. LLC from 2003 to 2015. After acquisition of the company by US Concrete in April of 2015, Donna was promoted to Director of Financial Reporting & Analysis, Atlantic Division.
Donna earned a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing at Adelphi University. She has also received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Economics from Long Island University and holds a New York State Teacher Certification in Business.
